The Illawarra Ethnic Communities Council's Cringila Home and Community Care Centre is part
of the Cringila Multipurpose Centre and is funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and
Home Care (DADHC).
Our role within the centre is to coordinate Centre-based day care services for frail older people,
younger people with disabilities and their carers, particularly those from culturally and
linguistically diverse backgrounds living in the Illawarra.
The main focus of the Cringila HACC Centre Coordinator is to identify the
issues and needs of older people, younger people with a disability and
their carers, and develop strategies to meet these needs in accordance
with the HACC standards and guidelines.
Services:
- Outings and trips
- Guest speakers
- Support and advocacy to clients
- OHS to clients, volunteers, staff and visitors
- Morning tea, culturally appropriate hot lunch and dessert
- Meaningful activities based on abilities
Language-specific carer support groups are held three times per month.

Transport is provided. Time and cost may vary for each service.
Referral Sources: Referrals are accepted from any source, including self-referrals.
Service Considerations: Services are subject to the availability of suitable volunteers.
