Eastern European & Baltic States Day Respite Service
                                                                       The place where friends are always waiting for you.

Eastern European and Baltic States Day Respite Service is funded by the Department of Ageing,
Disability and Home Care to provide a respite service for frail aged and younger people with a
disability and their carers, from Estonian, Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, German, Ukrainian, Austrian,
Hungarian, Romanian and Czech backgrounds.

Going strong for 20 years, we provide a range of activities and services which are responsive to the consumers' needs and with accordance to Home and Community Care (HACC) standards, including:

    - Information and health and government services
    - Support and advocacy
    - Outings and trips
    - Table games
    - Guest speakers
    - English lessons
    - Companionship
    - Hot European lunch, tea, coffee and herbal teas
    - Transport if required

Referral Sources:
Referrals are accepted from any source, including self-referrals.

Staffing Structure:
   
Project Coordinator
    A pool of volunteers

Cost:

    $6.50 includes a Hot European Lunch
    Tea, Coffee and Herbal Teas
    Transport (if required)

Day Respite Service Hours:
We meet three times a week.
    MONDAY at the Lutheran Church Hall - Oak Flats
    47 Old Lake Entrance Road, Oak Flats
    TUESDAY and THURSDAY at the Lutheran Church Hall - Wollongong
    15 Burelli Street, Wollongong

Volunteers:
Our service operates with the invaluable assistance of a caring
group of volunteers, whose services include driving, catering, teaching, assistance with craft and activities, and companionship.
