Eastern European and Baltic States Day Respite Service is funded by the Department of Ageing,
Disability and Home Care to provide a respite service for frail aged and younger people with a
disability and their carers, from Estonian, Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, German, Ukrainian, Austrian,
Hungarian, Romanian and Czech backgrounds.
Going strong for 20 years, we provide a range of activities and services
which are responsive to the consumers' needs and with accordance to Home and Community
Care (HACC) standards, including:
- Information and health and government services
- Support and advocacy
- Outings and trips
- Table games
- Guest speakers
- English lessons
- Companionship
- Hot European lunch, tea, coffee and herbal teas
- Transport if required
Referral Sources:
Referrals are accepte d from any source, including self-referrals.

We meet three times a week.

Volunteers:
Our service operates with the invaluable assistance of a caring
group of volunteers, whose services include driving, catering, teaching, assistance with craft and activities, and companionship.
