Notification of name change to Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra Dear valued members and partners, We are pleased to inform you of recent developments and exciting changes for the Illawarra Ethnic Communities Council. As a result of a special meeting held in June 2009, the members voted for a change of name to the Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra, which is to take effect as of Monday 27th July 2009. The IECC has been operating in the Illawarra for over 37 years. During this time we have developed strong, positive and long standing partnerships and relationships with our local community. We assure our valued members and partners that the organisation remains committed to serving the culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The change of name and recent relocation to new premises signifying a evolutionary milestone for the organisation and further invigorating our vision for promoting greater social inclusion, equity and harmony to our vibrant multicultural community.
